AMERICAN FILM INSTITUTE TOP 10 OF 2011

I've avoided posting individual critics' Top 10 lists, but AFI's Top 10 is an annual event which has a significant impact on both the Oscar race and the face of film history independent from the Oscars. They're unable to reward non-American films, so The Artist, Harry Potter, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and many other contenders were ineligible. And I'm presuming that they didn't see Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, because that's so their cup of tea. This also provides a good boost for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, J. Edgar and Bridesmaids (very good day for Bridesmaids!).
