ANDREW GARFIELD JOINS MARTIN SCORSESE'S SILENCE

This is big news for both parties. Martin Scorsese's long-awaited adaptation of Shusako Endo's novel finally has a leading man, and it's possibly that leading man's biggest role to date (unless you count Spider-Man, that one's pretty big). Andrew Garfield joins Ken Watanabe and Issei Ogata, and the project has financing on board and will be heading to the Cannes market. Production is scheduled to begin in June 2014, though, so we've still got quite a wait on our hands.
