FILM COMMENT SEES THE BLING RING, RATHER LIKES IT

Of course, we'll all just have to wait and see what we think of Sofia Coppola's latest rich-white-people's-problems movies, but if Film Comment's Kent Jones is to be believed, The Bling Ring doesn't let the esteemed Oscar-winner reputation down. His review of the film contains phrases such as 'a tremendous purity of focus' and 'casts such a lovely spell', which is probably not what you expected from a film starring Emma Watson as a bit of a soulless bitch, but which is probably what you expected from a film directed by Ms. Coppola. Cannes reviews will come first, then the film receives its US release in May.
