In nerd news, Nicolas Winding Refn, who has been the topic of about half the posts at Screen on Screen recently, will direct a film adaptation of the graphic novel The Incal. That's the one by the French artist Moebius and the Chilean filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky. Both Winding Refn and Jodorowsky had films at Cannes this year - Winding Refn's Only God Forgives drew wildly mixed reactions, while Jodorowsky's The Dance of Reality was more broadly liked.
