Popular American actor Dennis Farina died today, the 22nd of July. He had film roles in Michael Mann's Manhunter, Midnight Run with Robert De Niro, Get Shorty, Steven Soderbergh's Out of Sight, Saving Private Ryan and Guy Ritchie's Snatch., but was better known for his role in NBC's Law & Order TV series. The Chicago-born star was a member of the city's police force for 18 years. Survived by three sons, he was 69.
