HER MOVED BACK ALMOST A MONTH FOR PRIME AWARDS RELEASE

Warner Bros. was planning on a 20th of November release for Spike Jonze's Her, but that has now been pushed back to the 18th of December. I suppose they're hoping that critics' groups awards will keep its awards hopes alive through the month, as a late November release was perfect for a less-prestigious Oscar bait film such as this, and if its hopes die through December, a mid-Dec release won't do it any good. Positive test screening reactions have been cited, but I'd take that as a reason to test it with audiences and bank on some good cash before letting it loose on voting bodies. On another note, watch that trailer again. Remember when Joaquin Phoenix and Amy Adams were in The Master? How different their chemistry looks in this film! It's one thing to be able to change your personal character when changing roles, but to be able to change your chemistry with another actor? That's something that not many actors can manage.
