SONGS ON SATURDAY (BUT ACTUALLY SUNDAY) - BELLEVILLE RENDEZ-VOUS

So sorry that I left your Saturday bereft of a soundtrack, so here's one on Sunday instead. Belleville Rendez-vous (The Triplets of Belleville) is the film that The Artist wanted to be. It's an utter delight, full of great humour and great music. Benoit Charest's score is so good that below, I've linked you to the entire soundtrack uploaded onto YouTube. 'Swinging Belleville Rendezvous' should have won the Best Original Song Oscar, obviously.

  1. i love that you keep bashing 'the artist' way after the fact.and way after the general public has forgotten about it.that's the spirit... ;)

and it seems one of the films you felt 'the artist' wishes it could have been 'populaire'. is gonna get no award traction stateside.none...

*sigh*, i'd love to see your quote...

"Deborah Francois (imagine a cross between Mia Wasikowska and January Jones, but with talent)"

everywhere on the net and on dvd/blu ray covers. :)

    1. Yeh, saw the domestic box office estimates for it. Not so hot. Shame.
