THE COWBOYS TO BE REMADE BY TOMMY LEE JONES

After John Wayne won his Oscar for True Grit in the late 60s, Hollywood finally stopped caring about him. Through the 70s, he continued to bang the same old drum, and one of the forgotten features he made during that decade was 1972's The Cowboys, directed by Mark Rydell. Having impressed so with his writing / directing / starring job in The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, Tommy Lee Jones is going to pen a remake of the 41-year-old film, and is set to direct the film too, with Warner Bros.
