ReplyDeleteAlso, look at last year. Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Lawrence both won Oscars, having given standout performances in two of the year's biggest box office successes. That kind of thing happens quite often. Steve Carell will have Anchorman 2 around year's end, impressed with his supporting turn in The Way Way Back earlier in the year and provided the voice for the main character in Despicable Me 2, the year's second-highest grossing film domestically so far. Lots of things working in his favour. And Bennett Miller doesn't seem to make non-Oscar friendly fiction films.
