THE MONUMENTS MEN PUSHED TO 2014

Now we know The Wolf of Wall Street definitely won't be released next year, the year's other light-hearted Oscar bait has taken its place in the Spring 2014 schedule. The second trailer appeared to display its Oscar intentions, but the first trailer suggested a more comedic tone, and early word is that the film is perhaps closer in style to director George Clooney's Leatherheads than Good Night, and Good Luck. So, along with Foxcatcher and Grace of Monaco, they've been caught running scared from an already jam-packed slate of Oscar potential this year; unlike Foxcatcher, though, its early-year release date (as yet unspecific) doesn't indicate that the studio will bother with the major Oscar push they were surely planning for this season.
