An offshoot from the African-American Film Critics Association, the Black Film Critics Circle has announced its picks for 2013, and they're fairly different from AAFCA's. In both cases, though, 12 Years a Slave has rallied to significant wins. John Sayles' Go for Sisters makes a surprise (but not unwelcome) appearance in the Best Picture list from BFCC, and Brie Larson picks up another Best Actress win for Short Term 12.
