6 AWARDS FOR 12 YEARS FROM 1 GROUP - FLORIDA FILM CRITICS CIRCLE

It ought to come as no surprise to y'all that 12 Years a Slave has won yet another critic group's top awards, and several more. The Florida Film Critics Circle has given it six in total, besting American Hustle to Best Picture and Gravity's Alfonso Cuaron to Best Director. The road to Oscar only becomes ever clearer for Steve McQueen's film, as it looks like the critics are beginning to properly rally behind a film which the industry too may well favour over many other good films in a strong awards season.
