Ahead of the announcement of their annual nominations and awards in their competitive categories, the African-American Film Critics Association has announced the winners of its Special Achievement Awards for the year. The Cinema Vanguard Award will go to The Weinstein Company heads Bob and Harvey Weinstein, the Horizon Award to newly elected AMPAS president Cheryl Boone Isaacs, the Legacy Award to DGA president Paris Barclay, the Ashley Boone Award to Fox Searchlight's senior VP of production Zola Masahriki and the inaugural Roger Ebert Award to Variety's Justin Chang.
