The Stanley Kramer Award is given by the Producers Guild of America to honour a production, producer or other individual whose achievement or contribution illuminates and raises public awareness of social issues. Stanley Kramer himself made many such films, as sickening as many of them may be today. This year, Fruitvale Station will receive the award, which will be handed out during the PGA awards ceremony on Sunday the 19th of January.
