This is a tough honour for me to hand out. Not because I don't like hating on a film (cos I do), but because I bet I haven't seen even half of the worst sequels of the year. All the same, Kick-Ass 2 is a fucking awful, awful film, made even worse by the fact that the first Kick-Ass film wasn't half as bad. It's shoddily made, thoroughly unfunny and instantly forgettable, with little to no focus, a tasteless lust for brutality and a storyline that rips from its predecessor. I'm not normally one to skip a sequel when I've seen the original, but I almost wish I had in this case. Thankfully, there'll be no Kick-Ass 3. Not that that's been confirmed. Just that it doesn't need to be.
