THIRD PLANET OF THE APES FILM TO BE HELMED BY MATT REEVES

20th Century Fox was bullish about their 2011 blockbuster Rise of the Planet of the Apes in the marketing, and it was generally agreed that director Rupert Wyatt did a very good job with the film. They're showing yet more confidence in the franchise, with sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' director Matt Reeves booked back for the third installment, which is as yet without official writers. Dawn, which will be released later this year, brings back Rise's writers Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver and adds Mark Bomback and Scott Z. Burns to the scripting team.
