WGA NOMINATIONS DELIVER FEW SURPRISES

Don't be dismayed by the absence of several frontrunners in the screenplay categories this awards season in today's WGA nominations. They were all ineligible, remember? Except Inside Llewyn Davis, which was eligible, but was not nominated, just like it wasn't nominated at the PGA or SAG. Looks like the guilds are not on board with the Coens this year - that's just weird. Meanwhile, Lone Survivor receives a Best Adapted Screenplay nomination, confirming that WGA members failed to make it out of bed this year to actually see any films or read any scripts. They probably thought it was The Lone Ranger. That's a better movie, no rly, it is. Winners to be announced on the 1st of February. Do I even give a shit?
