From the newcomers to the old-timers, the big names to the bit-part players, the cast from Nebraska displayed an excellent knack for performing, Alexander Payne's terrific hand with actors and John Jackson's impeccable casting. How he was able to source a former Oscar nominee, a comic actor from SNL, several local non-actors and several more veteran but mostly quite unknown actors for the same film is a remarkable feat. And how they all perform together so beautifully is testament to his work as the film's casting director.
