ABEL FERRARA WELCOMES GOOD REVIEWS AT CANNES WITH WELCOME TO NEW YORK

Abel Ferrara continues to pull no punches as a filmmaker, and his reportedly scandalous new film, Welcome to New York, supposedly finds the NYC native back to his best. Starring Gerard Depardieu and Jacqueline Bisset, the satire is screening at Cannes to some of Ferrara's strongest reviews in years. Those include write-ups from Jordan Mintzer in The Hollywood Reporter, Peter Labuza in The Film Stage, Geoffrey MacNab in The Independent, Ben Kenigsberg in RogerEbert.com, Eric Kohn in IndieWire, Xan Brooks in The Guardian, Scott Foundas in Variety and Tim Robey in The Telegraph.
