AN INSECURE FATE AWAITS INSECURE (QUI VIVE) AT CANNES

Former cinematographer Marianne Tardieu makes her debut as a director with Insecure (Qui Vive), currently showing at Cannes in the ACID sidebar. The film has attracted attention for its cast members Reda Kateb from Zero Dark Thirty, and, in a small role, last year's co-Palme winner Adele Exarchopoulos. Less attention has been garnered for the film's actual quality, however. Here are reviews from critics Ed Frankl at Cine-Vue, Peter Debruge at Variety and Jordan Mintzer at The Hollywood Reporter.
