GODARD SAYS GOODBYE TO LANGUAGE, HELLO TO PLAUDITS AT CANNES

It's some time since Jean-Luc Godard has made a film of much impact beyond the strictly cinephile community. Whether or not Goodbye to Language 3D is going to change that is another matter, but said cinephiles are mostly lapping up his latest exercise in broadening the scope of the form and content of his artistic medium of choice. Reviews are in from Oliver Lyttleton at The Playlist, Wesley Morris at Grantland, Blake William at IOnCinema, Nick Roddick at Sight & Sound, Peter Bradshaw at The Guardian, David Jenkins at Little White Lies, Mike D'Angelo at The Dissolve, Jonathan Romney at Screen Daily, Michael Phillips at The Chicago Tribune and Peter Labuza at The Film Stage.
