Prior to hearing the verdict on his latest, The Search, which is showing in competition at Cannes, we're hearing news of Michel Hazanavicius' next. Demetri Martin from Taking Woodstock and In a World... wrote the screenplay for Will, which is to be produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay and which will star Zach Galifianakis. Paul Rudd is apparently in talks to join the cast, and no-one's surprised. If y'all are wondering what a recent recipient of the Best Director Oscar is doing directing a film of this ilk, check out his pre-The Artist jobs. Hazanavicius has speculated, in an interview with Variety, that he expects he'll then move onto an adaptation of Erik Larson's nonfiction book In the Garden of Beasts.
