Another day, another remake. New Line is currently prepping a new version of Private Benjamin, one of the most popular films from 1980. Possibly Goldie Hawn's best-remembered role, the Oscar-winner played a woman who enlists in the army after her husband dies on their wedding night. Hawn and costar Eileen Brennan were both nominated for Oscars for the film. Comic actress Rebel Wilson, best known for Bridesmaids, Pitch Perfect and Pain & Gain, will play Hawn's role in the update, with some changes to character situation. No director is as yet attached.
