BOYHOOD WINS BIG AT SEATTLE FEST

From almost 90,000 submitted votes, five audience awards for feature-length films were distributed between three films at the Seattle International Film Festival earlier this week. Richard Linklater's highly-hyped Boyhood took home three awards; the expansive drama opens in the British Isles and in North America alike on the 11th of July - a month from today. The most-popular female-directed film wins the Lena Sharpe Award, while jury awards, including a FIPRESCI prize, were considerably more broad in their outlook than the audience ones.
