Beloved Broadway actor Elaine Stritch has died, aged 89. The star of stage and both small and big screen was a popular fixture in the entertainment industry ever since she started out in the 1940s - she won a Tony award and three Emmys in her time. Her film presence was marked by roles in films such as A Farewell to Arms and Woody Allen's September, for which she received rave reviews. The Michigan-born performer was living in Birmingham, MI at the time of her death, on the 17th of July 2014.
