JENNIFER LEE BOARDS A WRINKLE IN TIME

One of only a handful of female directors to have won an Oscar for helming her own movie (well, co-helming, alas), Frozen's Jennifer Lee is pretty hot property in Hollywood atm after making a whole bunch of bank on Disney's latest animated mega-hit. She'll now write a third consecutive screenplay for the studio, in adapting Madeleine l'Engle's 1962 novel, A Wrinkle in Time, about a young girl who travels through time to locate her scientist father, who has gone missing. Bridge to Terabithia's Jeff Stockwell was hired to pen an adaptation to the book in 2010, though nothing more has been heard of that lately. No word yet on a director for the film, though goodness knows it'd be great to see Disney give a woman the sole reins of an animated offering, at long last.
