Of all of the mainstream American film review sites, The Playlist ranks among my favourites. They've proven why they occupy such a status in my estimations by making their choices for the best films of 2014, albeit some time ago (I'm late to posting this, not to noticing this). Under the Skin claims their top spot, quite deservedly, Gone Girl ranks among their top five, and dear old Boyhood misses out on such a lofty placing, since it rly doesn't need one right now.
