Opinions are extremely divided on Mon Roi, the second film to show in official competition at Cannes this decade from French filmmaker Maiwenn le Besco. The actor-turned-director has made a film that some find vivid and heartbreaking, but that others find shallow and nauseating. With such sharp contrast between the lovers and the haters on this one, it'll be interesting to see if it can secure any jury awards next Sunday.
