TONI ERDMANN LEADS 29TH EUROPEAN FILM AWARD NOMINATIONS


Cannes competitors dominate in the nominations for the 29th European Film Awards. Four of the Best European Film nominees showed in competition on the Croisette in May, including Palme d'Or recipient I, Daniel Blake, and FIPRESCI Prize (and Grand Prix) recipient Toni Erdmann, which leads all films with five mentions. In all, the contenders for seven new categories joined the previously-announced lineups in Best European Animated Feature and Best European Comedy. Wroclaw will host the ceremony on the 10th of December. All the nominees are listed below.
