I don't think the AAFCA will ever choose the perfect selection, thus it's best to appreciate them when they make better selections, like this year. Who would have thought that The Help would place so low on their Top 10, or The Tree of Life or Shame so high. And I don't care how good or bad their other picks may be...any group which chooses Steve McQueen for Best Director gets my respect.
