Look at that! Argo wins Ensemble Cast - in other words, BEAT THAT, LINCOLN / SLP! It remains to be seen whether or not the other major guilds (DGA and WGA) shall follow suit. Should they, that Best Picture Oscar race will look pretty settled, although the fact that it won't win Director does give one of the five nominated films in that category a good chance. Despite Jennifer Lawrence's win, Silver Linings Playbook's Ensemble miss makes it a real long shot at Oscar - that race is kind of just between Argo and Lincoln now. Tommy Lee Jones' win puts him level with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Christoph Waltz in major award group wins. DDL and Anne Hathaway continue their sweeps, and will do so in two weeks' time at the BAFTAs. Nominations can be found here.
