JAMES TOBACK'S CANNES DOC SEDUCED AND ABANDONED SCREENS AT CANNES

Where else? Last year, documentary filmmaker James Toback took a proposition to the Cannes Film Festival with Alec Baldwin, and posited it to industry professionals in attendance. Seduced and Abandoned is the product of the doc he filmed in so doing, and a lot else, according to critics.

Ryan Gosling comes in for a big (albeit brief) man-crush rave from The Guardian's Peter Bradshaw in his review, although he also likes the 'guilty-pleasure' film. Also pleasured by Toback's movie are Leslie Felperin at Variety and Jordan Mintzer at The Hollywood Reporter. Rope of Silicon's Brad Brevet rates the film a B.
