A stylish poster for Wong Kar Wai's The Grandmaster, now the Weinsteins have grown proper sick of SPC winning all those Foreign Language Film Oscars after they used to have that monopoly on the category. Another Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, they seem to be suggesting. It won't make near that much dough, but just look at how hard they're pushing! 'Presented by Martin Scorsese.' That shouldn't hurt. There may come a snafu where Oscar voting is concerned, what with the different versions being released in the US and in China, and China or Hong Kong may submit this film as their Foreign Language Film selection, and this year the entire Academy is voting on that one. But that's another story. Today's story is this: nice poster. Out Friday in the US.
