Just to let all y'all know when the season will begin. A few years back, the NYFCC got bored of being stuck in between all the other critics' groups' awards and jumped ahead to the beginning of December so that they could be first out of the gate and not see Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close prior to voting. The National Board of Review, which traditionally used to be the first group to announce, will make their choices the day after, on the 4th of December.
