RELEASE DATES FOR NYMPHOMANIAC

Who knows how many releases of Nymphomaniac we'll see, or when, or on which formats?! We do know that the shorter, four-hour (but still hardcore) cut will premiere on Christmas Day in Copenhagen. We also know that Lars von Trier's director's cut, at five-and-a-half hours, will be released in some form next year, but after that shorter cut has made the rounds. Maybe the longer one will go to Cannes, where von Trier is officially still welcome. The shorter one won't, though, probably. It will be divided into two parts for distribution: VOD releases on the 6th of March then the 3rd of April respectively, with US theatrical releases on the 21st of March then the 18th of April. The UK will get a chance to see the film theatrically on the 7th of March, but whether that's the full (though shorter) version or one half of it is unclear as yet. Brazil and several European markets have also confirmed some release dates, mostly early next year, with Denmark, Spain and the Netherlands getting a chance to see the film by the end of 2013.
