Milos Forman, the director of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Ragtime, Amadeus, The People vs. Larry Flynt and several other acclaimed features, is to be given the Directors Guild of America Lifetime Achievement Award at their 65th annual awards on the 2nd of February. Forman has been nominated for two competitive awards in DGA history, and won both, alongside the John Huston Award for Artists Rights and the DGA Honour. He has been a member of the guild since 1970.
