The 2014 Karlovy Vary Crystal Globes jury will be headed by Agnieszka Holland, who admitted to deciding to join the jury in spite of her aversion to judging art, due to the quality of the selection at KV. There, special awards will be handed out this year to Oliver Stone, the writer and director, and Theodor Pistek, the costume designer, for their individual contributions to world cinema. Both are talented forces in film, though Stone has arguably been off his game in recent years, and Pistek hasn't worked in the medium for most of two decades. Nevertheless, laudable picks from Karlovy Vary.
