PACINO SALOME DOUBLE-BILL SET FOR UK SCREENS: TRAILER

Al Pacino's 2006 stage production of Oscar Wilde's Salome was filmed both as a filmed version of the play and as a documentary of the entire production. The doc, Wilde Salome, screened at the Venice Film Festival in 2011, where it won the fest's Queer Lion. The actual film, Salome, opened quietly and briefly in LA last August. Both are now set to be screened as a double bill for a one-off event in London on the 21st of September, with Wilde Salome preceding Salome. This will be simulcast across over 200 cinemas throughout the British Isles, including a post-screening Q&A between Stephen Fry, who played Wilde in Brian Gilbert's 1997 biopic, and director / star Pacino alongside his lead, a pre-stardom Jessica Chastain. Looks like a must-see for film fans in the UK, and I hope to attend it myself.
