ALL-FEMALE GHOSTBUSTERS REMAKE IN THE WORKS

Sony has announced plans to reboot, rather than continue, their once-fledgling Ghostbusters franchise. The long-rumoured sequel has been cancelled, much to the annoyance of few, frankly, with a new film planned instead. Director of Bridesmaids and The Heat Paul Feig is set to direct, writing alongside Katie Dippold again, and with an as-yet-unconfirmed all-female principal cast. That's exactly the refresher I was looking for from the films, and it's definitely a positive development, even if that's what people expect from Feig. He's committed to his feminist slant on American mainstream comedy, and good for him.
