Reviews are very strong out of Cannes for Les Cowboys, the directorial debut of Thomas Bidegain. Also a screenwriter, Bidegain is partly responsible for the films of Jacques Audiard (including current Palme d'Or entry Dheepan), and is drawing typically good critical responses against those for his efforts as a writer. This is yet another quality screener in the Directors' Fortnight competition this year, perhaps 2015's strongest section of the Cannes Film Festival overall.
