And now for the news that Bertrand Bonello is releasing a film this summer, and that it isn't even at Cannes. He's changing track in the tone of his film too, as Nocturama appears to be by far his most genre outing yet - the above trailer suggests straight-up thriller, though are things ever that simple with Bonello? One questions why this won't be showing on the Croisette this year, and then why it was hardly even rumoured to be showing at all... I'll follow this daring filmmaker anywhere, even into a trailer with no English dialogue nor subtitles - it's fairly easy to keep up with, though, as the terrorism plot makes itself relatively clear from what little we're shown here. Out in France on the 31st of August, and hopefully everywhere else pretty soon after, though don't count on it.
