KANSAS CITY CRITICS GO TO MANCHESTER BY THE SEA


Despite being one of the most popular films with critics this awards season, Manchester by the Sea has struggled to pick up Best Picture awards. Not so now, what with the Kansas City Film Critics Circle naming Kenneth Lonergan's ensemble drama their favourite film of 2016. The historic Kansas City based group broke from formula with their list of top ten films from which this winner was decided too, though the remainder of their awards were rather more ordinary.
