It's worth paying attention to the TFCA. Their choices aren't always the most mainstream, but they are Canada's premier critics' group, and hold a little clout in the Oscar race. These aren't useless wins; the right people's ears prick up when TFCA's name is mentioned. Thus, this provides another boost for The Tree of Life, and for Take Shelter. Another win for Jessica Chastain for another performance - it's not becoming any clearer which performance she may take to the Oscars, unless she cancels herself out...
