Following from his documentary hit Senna, one of the most popular films from the genre in recent years, Asif Kapadia now documents another young star taken too soon. Amy Winehouse is portrayed in Kapadia's Amy, which has taken the critics by storm in its Midnight Screening slot at the Cannes Film Festival. Although there's no unanimity among reviewers, some are declaring it a standout film of the fest so far.
