Cannes regular Koreeda Hirokazu returns to the festival once more this year with competition title Our Little Sister. Based on the manga Umimachi Diary (of which I have actually read a little), the female-centric drama is receiving Koreeda's usual respect from critics, if not the ecstatic response that a number of his recent films, like I Wish and Like Father, Like Son have attracted.
