This Is Not a Film
Sight & Sound's annual Top Ten poll, this year featuring eleven films due to voting ties, is once again comprised of several of the year's finest films...and Cosmopolis. Lordy Lord! Not having seen Amour, Beyond the Hills and This Is Not a Film, I won't comment on their inclusion, but the rest of the list is very fine indeed. Even those films which I liked, as opposed to those which I loved, at least contribute to the variety and diversity of choices made by this esteemed institution, which, earlier this year, named Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo as the greatest film of all. I'll be seeing Amour on Monday (can't wait!!!) and look forward to seeing Beyond the Hills and This Is Not a Film as soon as possible too. But, wtf Cosmopolis?
