CINEMA AUDIO SOCIETY WINNERS

Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing – Live Action
Jonathan Allen, Robert Edwards, Simon Hayes, Andy Nelson and Mark Paterson (Les Misérables)

Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing – Animated
Andrew Dudman, Bobby Johanson, Tom Johnson, Frank Rinella and Gary Rydstrom (Brave)

Yet more massive surprises! No, again, not rly. Brave is more popular than I had imagined it might be amongst Oscar precursors, but i still think voters will prefer Wreck-It Ralph next Sunday. And much as I may not have enjoyed Les Mis, its sound mixing was very good, and I'm glad it won here. Nominations were back here, remember?

  1. Good to see LES MISERABLES winning something! Ha! Actually it seems a sure bet to win the Oscar for sound mixing.

    1. I'm not a fan, but it deserves this. And at least the sound mixing crew won't piss me off if they act surprised when they hear their names read out a la Anne Hathaway...
