LUC BESSON'S THE FAMILY - TRAILER AND POSTER

I can't help but be disheartened once more to see Robert De Niro play the same bloody role again in an inferior film to those in which he made his schtick famous. No doubt he's good at it, though. The French can be a funny bunch, principally in consistently supporting trashy shit like this as if Luc Besson were Yasujiro Ozu rising from the dead. Have a hoke at the poster after the cut. No do. Rly. It's so awful.

What's happening here? Seriously, another remake of a great foreign film? We may have reached a point where it's no longer interesting to see what an American version of a foreign picture may look like. Is it the best they could come up with? Major studios lack some major guts in pitching new ideas. Vive la Hollywood.
And in another uninteresting news, Joss Whedon is pissed-off about lack of female superheros. Wow. We have our next big thing in Hollywood.

    1. Ugh yawn. In fact, I often feel like this with book or stage adaptations too. More original ideas, plz! That said, I wasn't A Prophet's biggest supporter when I saw it anyway.

Oh who cares, Joss Whedon? What, cos you did sooo much for that when you made The Avengers? If you were that pissed off, you wouldn't have taken a gig that was only going to exacerbate the issue.
