After The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, Ron Howard was expected to return to Dan Brown's series of mystery novels with The Lost Symbol, producing alongside Brian Grazer. That's now on the back burner, as he will instead direct Inferno, with Tom Hanks returning to play Robert Langdon. David Koepp will write the screenplay, and the film is scheduled for release in Summer 2015. I wonder if interest in the series will remain high by that time though.
