Just about every female actor in the industry has been linked to the lead role in David Fincher's Gone Girl, and apparently the new favourite in the race is Rosamund Pike. The British actor is always a good addition to any cast. She'd play the wife of Ben Affleck, who has signed on for the male lead. Lots of other names have been floated in connection with the part, including Emily Blunt and Natalie Portman.
